Camp Sagitawa is looking for a relational, adaptable, and mission-driven Camp Director to lead our camp community into its next season of growth and impact. Situated on 67 acres along the shores of beautiful Moberly Lake, Camp Sagitawa has been sharing the gospel and serving children, families, churches, and guest groups for nearly 60 years.

This role is ideal for someone who loves both leadership and hands-on ministry — someone equally comfortable encouraging staff in their faith, welcoming guest groups, solving day-to-day operational challenges, and helping shape the future vision of camp.

What You’ll Be Doing

As Camp Director, you will oversee the daily operations of camp while supporting staff, volunteers, programs, and guest experiences. You’ll work closely with the Camp Board to ensure Camp Sagitawa remains a safe, Christ-centered, and thriving ministry.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and supporting year-round and seasonal staff
• Overseeing camp operations, safety, and guest experiences
• Coordinating summer camp preparation and guest group hosting
• Building relationships with churches, donors, and community partners
• Supporting staff spiritually through discipleship, prayer, and mentorship
• Assisting with budgeting, planning, and future development
• Stepping into programming support and leadership when needed
• Responding to emergencies and helping maintain camp readiness

Experience & Skills That Are an Asset

We recognize that great candidates come from a variety of backgrounds. Experience in any of the following areas or skills would be valuable:

• Camp ministry or outdoor education
• Leadership or nonprofit experience
• Staff or volunteer management
• First Aid certification
• Outdoor recreation skills such as boating, paddling, hiking, fishing, or hunting
• High ropes, belay, or adventure program certifications

Life at Camp

This is a live-on-site position based at Camp Sagitawa in Moberly Lake, BC. Camp life includes a mix of leadership, administration, outdoor work, ministry, hospitality, and community engagement. Summer months are busy and energetic, balanced by a slower winter season.
